Puppies
Shiloh, our farm collie, gave birth to nine puppies on November 28th. Both parents are purebred English Shepherds with classic lines. The puppies are being raised at our farm school, the Montessori Rose Cottage, with children and chickens. They will be ready for their new homes at eight weeks.
The English Shepherd is an all American breed known for their loyalty, grit, intelligence and calm disposition. They are an all purpose dog. English Shepherds are working dogs and are used to herd livestock from the meanest bull to the baby chickens.
At the end of the day the English Shepherd is content to lie at his master's feet or watch the children. They make wonderful companions and working partners. They are fearless and courageous, yet loving and gentle.
