PARENT INFORMATION
We all know that Communication is a key factor to help keep our Parents informed on the events in each of the Classrooms.
In addition to the Parent Folders we would also like to offer our website for looking up Snack Schedules, Helpers of the Day, Field Trips, and other events that happen throughout the month.

TUESDAY MEMO

Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year. We are off to a great start! It has been wonderful to welcome both students and staff back to school.
FACULTY MEETINGS
A well-prepared, highly qualified staff requires time for planning and organizing. This year, our monthly staff meetings are scheduled for the first Monday of each month; please refer to the annual calendar on our website (www.ranchoviejoschool.com). The staff meeting begins promptly at 5:00 PM and, for this one day every month; the Sunset Club will close one hour early. Our first faculty meeting is next Monday, October 1st. Please be sure to pick up your children before 5:00 PM. Thank you for your consideration.
RUBY TUESDAY
Every year we set aside three evenings to dine together at Ruby’s in the Pavilions Shopping Center. The first one is Tuesday, October 16th.Plan to join us next Tuesday evening for our last Ruby Tuesday of the year. On this evening, everyone from our school dines (in or out) at Ruby’s and they donate 20% of the proceeds back to our school. The children have a great time because they get to see their friends and teachers. Watch for the Ruby Red flyer. We hope you can come!
MARINES
The Marine Battalion our school adopted last year, the 1st LAR (Light Armored Reconnaissance) will be returning very soon. We have been collecting towels in the hopes of giving all 750 returning Marines a fresh new towel upon arrival. They will have to stay in Barracks a few days and they leave all their toiletries behind. We would like to thank Albertson’s for providing the toiletries and also all our families who brought in towels. We have some time (about two weeks) to make another towel run so if any of you would like to contribute a new, inexpensive towel, that would be great.
TRAFFIC PATTERNS
Vehicles entering and leaving the school driveway must proceed past our building from left to right. Please enter at the center of our complex (@Santa Nella) and exit on the West end. By keeping one-way traffic, and always the same way, we can accomplish two things. Our #1 priority is keeping the children safe. Please, always keep your children by your side and never allow them to run ahead of you in the parking lot. Our #2 priority is avoiding fender benders.
RVPA
The Rancho Viejo Parent Association meets the first Wednesday of every month at 6:00 PM. All are invited and child care is provided. This is a great way to meet other parents and help plan our fundraising activities and our Annual Dinner. Our first RVPA meeting is next Wednesday, October 3rd.
